Dustmx Academy has got one more rider Racso Bartra who rides in the 250 and 450C classes welcome Racso to Dustmx Academy.
Racso getting some air
For Racso's 1st race under Dustmx Academy he was very relaxed and always listening for the slightest bit of advise he could get.
In his 1st moto of the 450 C class he had made a few mistakes and was charging through the field on the last lap he closed right up on Mike Mike Morgan in the final sharp right hand turn Racso opting for the wide outside line Mike made a little bobble on the inside and for a second it looked like Racso Would snatch 4th place on the last corner but he was not able to get the drive to the finish he had to settle for 5th.
Moto 2 saw a completely different rider Racso got out to the holeshot, but Shane Kehoe would quickly pass him for the lead Racso hot on his tail Shane would crash handing the lead to Racso, he would push and get a big gap with Robert Vogel coming through the pack getting into 2nd place. Racso was starting to ride tense trying not to make any mistakes but this would slow his pace and Robert was able to pass Racso just before the finish. Although finishing 2nd Racso showed he has potential just needs a bit of fine tuning
250C Racso having a poor 1st moto filled with crashes and silly mistakes he was only able to finish in 10th,
Moto 2 would be better he came out with a decent start and made a few good passes midway through the race however time would run out for the young rider and he finished a respectable 5th place
Racso Bartra 450c 5th-2nd, 250c 10th-5th
Dustin "Thanks David for the Bike"
Dustin's Day would be very eventful. In his 1st moto he got of to a decent start once again on borrowed wheels this time from fellow African rider David Seitz, the bike had a few problems after a lap the rear shock would almost lock up and was so stiff. Dustin however is able to get on any machine and try make it work "if its got wheels and runs i'll ride it" as he says. Anyway he was able to close up to second place and on the final lap he mad a pass with the other rider going off the track he would re enter with more speed in the turn Dustin Deciding to give him the inside line to avoid contact Dustin would then make an aggressive pass up the inside on the final turn with no contact at anytime to take the chequers. However this pass would stir up some animosity though it seemed to be a fair racing move.
In moto 2 Dustin would use a kx 450 from new member Racso (thanks) Dust would grab the lead early on settle into a good pace and ride smooth for an easy win
16-24 class Dustin had a bad start pulled through into 3rd place and with on going problems with the yz 250 just rode it in for 3rd. Moto 2 saw him on the 450 kx and coming out the gate in second forcing the leader into a mistake for another easy win.
Dust 450A 1st-1st 16-24 3rd-1st
Kyle Bangerter on the top step 1st place
Kyle fired his day off with a great start in his 1st moto after his previous performance at thundercross he brought that momentum to this race he rode very smooth improving his style every week he was able to control the 450 D class and was able to win in both motos proving to everyone that he can be up front and limit the mistakes in 2 races.
In the 250 D he rode well some bad starts and a few mistakes kept him back, in moto 1 he pulled through to a 5th place finish. In the 2nd moto Kyle got his game on on wanted to prove he was a force to be reckoned with in the 250 D class he pushed and he was chasing down 3rd place keeping with the top runners as he tried to make a move for third he fell and dropped back to 5th once again Kyle put everything he had and his performance does not show in the results.
Well we have a 2 week break till the final at thundercross and with a purse of $2000 up for grabs it should be a good one, Dustmx Academy is going to be training in the gym and on the track to make a big push and show for the final round
